My Role: Managed project team from schematic design through construction documents. Worked closely with client to develop entry courtyard, lobby, recreation areas, and unit layouts. Used the 7-foot ceiling provision allowed in NJ’s IBC to create lofted units on the ground floor. Assisted the client’s Historical Consultant with National Park Service submissions to obtain tax credits.

Size: 70,000 sf | new 59 unit mixed use on historic site

My Role: Project Architect. Worked with client and the staff of the Philadelphia Historical Commission to develop massing and elevations appropriate to the historic site. The project had to be approved by the Historical Committee and Commission. Managed production team from schematic design through construction documents. Oversaw construction administration.

Description: Fit out and Ground up outpatient dialysis clinics

My Role: Assisted documentation teams and Project Architects with detailing exterior envelopes for ground up clinics. Led teams on fit outs. Worked closely with local authorities having jurisdiction and followed the dialysis company’s prototype standards. Assisted Project Architects with construction administration for ground up clinics.

My Role: Documented, detailed, and physically modeled project working under Principal and Project Manger. South facing windows and brise soleil help to maximize natural light while minimizing solar heat gain. The house is situated on a 4 acre site overlooking Valley Creek and the land beyond.

My Role: Project Architect. Documented and detailed house, which is composed of three pavilions linked with glass passageways.

Size: 6,000 sf

My Role: Project Architect. Documented renovations and additions to a historic carriage house. The additions included a family room, kitchen, living room, and garage with guest apartment above. The garage was connected to the main house by a breezeway. The house was required to comply with local historic ordinance requirements.

My Role: Assisted with documentation. Initially developed a permit set for a Kimpton hotel, then redesigned as a mixed-use apartment building.

My Role: I designed and detailed the barn. It contains a single large bay on the south side of the structure for storage and an enclosed second floor office on the north side of the barn.

Rammed Earth House

Location: Giles County Virginia

Size: 3,000 sf

My Role: I designed and built the rammed earth formwork and walls, developed the plans, and constructed models. This project was completed under the guidance of Virginia Tech professors as a third year undergraduate student in a design-build studio.

Philadelphia Row House

Location: Southwest Center City Philadelphia, PA

Size: 1,150 sf

My Role: Designed and completed a full renovation to an 1860’s row home over several years starting in 2009. My work including framing, plumbing, electrical wiring, masonry, gypsum wallboard, and tile work. I hired independent contractors to complete the roof, HVAC, wood floors, and facade pointing.
